Medical Reserve Corps of Greater Kansas City (MRCKC)
The mission of the Medical Reserve Corps of Greater Kansas City (MRCKC) is to recruit, train, and utilize medical and non-medical volunteers to support local public health and emergency management agencies throughout the Greater Kansas City area during large-scale disasters, public health emergencies, and other times of community need.
Kansas System for the Early Registration of Volunteers (K-SERV)
Kansas System for the Early Registration of Volunteers (K-SERV) is a statewide secure database of pre-credentialed health care and non-health care professionals who are interested in volunteering their services in the event of a public health emergency. K-SERV is a tool that can be used by Kansas communities for volunteer management in the case of a disaster of incident. The Medical Reserve Corps of Greater Kansas City serves as the local volunteer coordinating agency for K-SERV volunteers in Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Johnson, and Miami counties.
Missouri Show-Me Response Registry of Volunteer Healthcare Professionals
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services operates Show-Me Response, an online volunteer registry for Missouri residents or anyone who has a licensed in good standing with the Missouri Division of Professional Registration. Volunteers registered with Show-Me Response are able to affiliate with MRCKC in order to meet other volunteers and to participate in regional emergency preparedness and response training and exercise activities.
KCMO Public Health Ambassador Program
The mission of the KCMO Public Health Ambassador Program is to conduct health education outreach in the community to address preventable chronic diseases and to prepare people to care for themselves and others during a public health response and recovery process. By participating with MRCKC, Public Health Ambassadors are better prepared to support the Kansas City Missouri Health Department during large-scale disasters, public health emergencies, and other times of community need.
KUMC Disaster Response Student Interest Group
The mission of the KUMC Disaster Response Student Interest Group is to recruit, train, and utilize medical and non-medical student volunteers to support local public health and emergency management agencies throughout the Greater Kansas City area during large-scale disasters, public health emergencies, and other times of community need.
Leavenworth County Medical Reserve Corps Resource Team
The mission of the Leavenworth County Medical Reserve Corps Resource Team is to recruit, train, and utilize medical and non-medical volunteers to support Leavenworth County Health Department and Leavenworth County Emergency Management during large-scale disasters, public health emergencies, and other times of community need.
Platte County Medical Reserve Corps Resource Team
The mission of the Platte County MRC Resource Team is to recruit, train, and utilize medical and non-medical volunteers to support the Platte County Health Department and Platte County Emergency Management during large-scale disasters, public health emergencies, and other times of community need.
West Central Missouri AHEC (Area Health Education Center) Disaster Response Student Interest Group
The mission of West Central Missouri AHEC is to enhance access to quality health care, particularly primary and preventative care, by growing and supporting Missouri’s healthcare workforce. The goal of the West Central Missouri AHEC Disaster Response Student Interest Group is to recruit and train students who are willing to support local public health and emergency management agencies throughout the Greater Kansas City area during large-scale disasters, public health emergencies, and other times of community need.
